Shannon and Steve’s wedding was heart and soul, and fun and games shared over tea in the afternoon on a little island in the pacific.
Their quaint, Victoria BC wedding couldn’t have been more personal to their story, and I’ve had the hardest time keeping it hidden on my hard drive until today. Shannon met Steve when she was 12 and he was 16, they lawn bowled together, and were friends for years. Steve proposed to Shannon bowling a lawn ball to her during a match.
When it came to planning a wedding it only made sense to hold it in Victoria, on the very green they became seasoned bowlers at. With styling and planning help from Barb of French Kiss Events, Shannon and Steve put together a truly unique day with a “first bowl” after their first kiss, and a giant game of spider ball where all guests took turns bowling. Their dogs delivered the rings down the aisle with enthusiasm, and an afternoon tea party had everyone smiling while drinking out of antique cups. Real Weddings Magazine thought it was just as unique as I did, and finally today, when the rest of British Columbia can enjoy Shannon and Steve’s wedding on newsstands, I’m thrilled to share their wedding photographs here.

Thanks so much for having me Shannon and Steve, I don’t think it would be possible to make my welcome the Vancouver Island wedding world any better.
