Accessibility at Crane Studios

Crane studios is a step free space with a long ramp leading into the building. The entrance has a small sill at the doorway as you enter that is approximately 1cm high off the ground. The doorway is 32 inches wide and we will have someone who can open the door as people arrive. The indoor space has a concrete poured floor and we will ensure that there are walkways to access the different parts of the rooms. There will be chairs provided for audience members and we can remove a chair to accommodate any mobility aids. Preference in the past has been that this is done near the front and to the side so if you would prefer a different set up please let us know. The space will have 50 moveable chairs facing the stage area which will have a walkway down the middle. The majority of the chairs will then be removed during happy hour to allow for a more open space but we will ensure that there are chairs available around the edges of the room. There is an accessible washroom on site too. Note there is only one washroom and so if you require priority we can assign someone to ensure that you are given priority for the washroom. The washroom is big enough for a wheelchair user and an attendant and also has a grab bar.

We would love this to be a really welcoming and accessible event for all and so if you require an interpreter or any additional support for the event or even have questions or would like a video of the space, please feel free to reach out to Tilly at tilly@tillynelson.com 2368187225. We can also connect you with a manual wheelchair user who has experience in this space who would be very happy to discuss any accessibility needs.

Getting Home Safely:
